Nestled away in London’s buzzing Camden Town is a fish and chip shop with a difference: Hook Camden Town. It’s only been opened for a few months and it’s already causing a splash with its take on the nation’s favorite dish.
The focus is on fresh sustainable fish with creative flavours: their menu can include Jamaican jerk pollock or Cajun spiced red gurnard and is constantly adapted to bring new flavours to their customers.
Like so many new restaurant developments in London and surrounding areas the scope to running a kitchen extract system away from neighboring buildings was limited. A condition of planning stipulated that a suitable odour control system be fitted in line with the DEFRA Guidance on the Control of Odour and Noise from Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Systems.
The odour control system installed at “Hook Restaurant” comprised of the following:
Installed specifically to capture even more grease in the canopy at Hook Camden town
Two iDuct units were installed and are achieving a very high level of odour control
The system at “Hook Camden Town” is being maintained on a monthly basis and the performance is meeting expectations achieving an exceptional level of odour control.
Extechnology are very knowledgeable, they helped us plan and select the most suitable application and they ensure that the system is always maintained
