Extechnology, on behalf of its client Fuller Smith & Turner, was tasked with the responsibility of specifying and supplying an odour control solution to be installed at The Holly Bush, Hampstead.
The redevelopment of The Holly Bush was in planning for a number of years and serious concerns had been raised by the neighbours with respect to any odour nuisance which could potentially occur as a result of the redevelopment.
The proposed point of discharge at The Holly Bush was categorised by the DEFRA guidance as requiring a very high level of odour control and as a consequence there was a requirement from the local authority to achieve a level of odour control which would ensure that any statutory nuisance did not occur.
The odour control system installed at The Holly Bush comprised of three different stages:
Double pass EX 7500 achieving 98% efficiency
G4 pleated panel filters, installed to offer protection to the carbon
Carbon filtration achieving a dwell time of 0.4 seconds
The system at The Holly Bush is being maintained on a monthly basis and the performance is meeting expectations and achieving a very high level of odour control.
Extechnology helped us navigate through the guidance and specified a system which is clearly achieving results.
